VASCULAR PITCHING CONTEST — SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Scientific Committee of TVA-IVasC 2026 invites submission of entries for the Vascular Pitching Contest, a fast-paced, engaging session where presenters “sell” an idea, technique, or research proposal within a strict time limit. Accepted entries will be scheduled for live pitching and judging during the conference (21–23 October 2026).
TOPICS OF INTEREST
- MedTech & Devices — prototype surgical instruments, catheters, or other vascular device innovations
- Digital Health & AI — software, applications, or AI systems supporting diagnosis, procedural planning, or patient care
- Clinical Process Innovation & Surgical technique —workflow improvements that enhance safety or reduce cost or new Surgical technique/Innovation
FORMAT REQUIREMENTS
Word limit: 150 words maximum (excluding title and presenter names)
Language: English
Slides: Maximum 5 slides (not including the cover slide); image- and visual-led, minimal text
Video: An optional video clip up to 60 seconds may be included, counted within the total pitch time
PRESENTATION RULES
- Strict Timing — Presentation: 5 minutes, followed by 3 minutes of Q&A with the judging panel
- A warning signal is given at 1 minute remaining; the microphone is cut immediately when time expires
- Judges & Q&A — A senior faculty and expert judging panel will question presenters directly after each pitch
- Audience Voting — Delegates in the room may cast a live vote via an online platform (e.g., Mentimeter); this popular vote is combined with the judges’ scores to determine the winner

AWARDS
The winner is determined by combining the judging panel’s score with the live audience popular vote.
- Vascular Pitching Contest Award — The judges’ 100-point score (per the criteria above) and the audience popular vote are combined to determine the overall winning entry
- Prize: US$ 1,000
